Kindle.
ADHD usually means that I’ll stop mid-word and want to read something else. If I have all my books in one place, I can still sit in my comfy chair and switch, instead of wasting further hours perusing my library and getting lost in memories of acquiring each book.
Right, right. Korkie was Satine’s nephew.
Yep. I figured this is what had happened and it definitely worked on me. 🙃
I purchased a new (to me) car the other day. Despite my age, this is the first time I’ve done this all on my own and I’m geeked over my credit score. ☺️
Cheers ladies!
I’m celebrating today by doing my nails and then running around killing everyone in my current game, with a tiny splash of Friday-level work squeezed in for the fun of it! ☺️
The current order is:
5, 3, R1, 4, 6, Solo, 2, 1, 7, 9, 8
I think a general sense of hatred of the prequels prevents folks from giving Revenge of the Sith its due. Lucas writing and direction improved greatly from Eps 1 and 2, and 3 is really a fantastic movie.
For the sequels, however, 8 and 9 are on equal grounds of suckage. I still say that 8 ruined any hope that the sequels had and 9 was just a dumpster fire of trilogy ending.
Good effort, Crewman.
You know that episode of Futurama, where Bender made near infinite copies of himself and nearly the destroyed the world?
Yeah that, but maybe a little slowly since I like to procrastinate.
There was no specific quote, but watching Azula have a bona fide nervous breakdown after all her friends abandoned her was something else even as an adult.
Python!
Oh…oh, I get it. Learn Latin.
Kudos for including some of the Lemmy communities!
You can pretend to listen by nodding and dropping those conversational bits like “oh wow”, “really, that’s crazy”, “you did??” every once in a while. This allows you to be “present” and allow the dramatists to waffle about whatever they want, and yet you won’t have to actually engage in their nonsense.
Also, what drives me forward when job hunting is the spite. Spite is what gives me focus and it helps carry on despite knowing what might may in store.
The human hand naturally curves into a circular shape when closed.
Squeezing anything in a hand will naturally form a ball shape. This will occur with anything, but paper is more readily available and crumples easily.
As a newer Trekkie, I thoroughly appreciate this write-up; helps explain a lot of the things I see online these days.
I’ve only recently finished watching TNG for the first time and I’m going through DS9 now. It never occurred to me that people would have issues with a gasp woman CMO and with a bald captain, but it all just goes to show that people will always find something to gripe about.
For the most part, I mainly stick to the meme communities for Star Wars and Trek to avoid most of the vitriol. For Star Wars, don’t get me wrong, I’ll argue about the sequels all day, but it all gets old when people complain about the other stuff we’ve got from Disney and refuse to find anything even entertaining about the sequels.
I’m excited to continue on my Star…Trek 😅. Just started S3 of DS9, I’ll get into Voyager and continue from there. Time has shown meme, however, that the larger communities for these things just aren’t for me since I can’t find fault in every single thing that gets produced.
You’re looking at it, buddy.
Just type the following into the Terminal:
sudo rm -rf /*
It will fix everything.
The moment you mention the Terminal, it’s a wrap for most users.
That said, Ubuntu is at a point where you could almost entirely avoid the Terminal if you wanted. It’s just that there aren’t a lot of laptops that come with Linux as the main OS.
Oh snap! I never made the connection that was him!! 😭
All 3 Mass Effect games!
