Hey, at least he had the right idea. He saw that the delay was due to a lack of skilled workers and tried to fix that problem instead of just talking more about the project. That’s more awareness than most PMs have in my experience.

That’s just how people are now. I don’t think it’s specific to Lemmy or even the internet. Most people don’t know how to have a discussion where lines are more blurry than a formal debate that has two opposing sides with completely separate, non-overlapping ideas.
That was an interesting scene. I wouldn’t have guessed it was filmed in IR but it did a really good job of portraying the Harkonnens as barbaric and otherworldly from a cultural perspective. It was pretty unsettling to watch for reasons that are difficult to articulate.
Overall the movie was fantastic. If not for a couple other scenes this IR bit likely would have been my favorite part.

You’re in a community dedicated to sharing random thoughts. I shared mine. The logic isn’t hard to follow despite how much you seem to want to be the gatekeeper of acceptable speech.
I can tell I’m getting old because I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything by not having a clue what this post is about. I’m actually kind of proud of the fact that this all reads like a foreign language to me.
That didn’t seem to be what the person who said that was trying to convey.
Biden didn’t do that. It’s been that way for a long time.
That you’re taking things too seriously. It’s a meme not a dissertation.
Is it really surprising? Monogamy has been essentially socially enforced for millenia at this point.
Make default programs support opening webp files and the problem goes away. Until that happens users have every reason to convert files from a format that is a pain in the ass to open.
Are you making any sort of posts in those “mostly dead” communities? There might be more people looking to join but had the same thought as you. Even a quick hello post could help a lot.
That concept is lost on so many people and I don’t understand why. One of the last teams I was on had two weekly meetings. One was 9:00 AM Monday morning and the other was 4:00 PM on Fridays. They were both running through all of our projects and always seemed surprised that the Monday update was the same as the previous Friday update.
