I’ve never seen photos in OSM. Dunno if they are there or are associated to another service, since my understanding is that OSM is only/mostly about placing the coordinates for things, whereas Nominatim is for numbering and querying addresses, etc.

It would be neat if OpenStreetMap took in cats as items!

Most software at the utility level rsync sits at, reaches final users (the ones who complain) not by direct download, but by being aggregated by distros. And unfortunately even highly respected distros like Debian have decided to accept AI in rsync even with the resulting data loss.
