Damn that’s some crooked lore.
Damn that’s some crooked lore.
The graphics still impress me. It’s like the effects in Jurassic Park in that, while the overall tech has improved by leaps and bounds, the execution is so good that it still dazzles.
They lean into it there too. They are doing a lot of construction there and the pardon our dust signs make jokes about lizard people and shit.
This is the perfect description.
Not a lady but I’ve been married to one for a couple decades and I think we have good communication.
I’d wager that there is little difference in the urge to get off. I’d wager that the biggest difference lies in where ‘getting off’ falls within the whole sequence of events.
For most men, getting off is the last period at the end of the last sentence of the last chapter. That may create urgency in their partner that might not otherwise be there.
I hate to say this, but it’s almost better at Fallout than Fallout.
I’ve played all the Fallout games, my wife has played none of them. We are both enjoying it quite a bit so far, at least two episodes in.
Bin designs are just now getting to the point where there is something like a 1:1 relationship between passengers and overhead space. Only a small fraction of the flights operating (at least in the US) have these bins, though.
Some of the new Boeing aircraft, as it happens, so it’s a trade off…
This is the answer. Trace it back to the early 2000s when airlines started charging for checked bags. That created an immediate premium for overhead space and kicked off the Boarding Wars we now find ourselves in today, where airlines and passengers alike contort themselves literally and figuratively in an attempt to work around this one massive consequence of corporate greed.

You seem to be suggesting the time travel was faked.
Wow, almost exactly same.
I’m less stimulated, but also less angry.
I don’t miss reddit at all.
Not sure if this is what inspired OP, but I just learned the fact about astronauts going through customs yesterday, in a video posted by Channel 5 on YouTube. The context was that Andrew Callahan, who is a US citizen, tried crossing the Rio Grande with Coyotes for journalistic reasons, and he learned the hard way that there are NO exceptions to the rule requiring entering through customs. Not for journalists, and not for astronauts.
Not too surprising really. Those things were not the problem and not what drove most of us away so…it would be natural to try to rebuild the aspects of it that you liked.
This is borderline KenM. I almost want to upvote you.
Thanks for using your knowledge to tell us what it doesn’t rhyme with.
Super helpful or as they say in France apparently, ‘just speak french instead’.
Now I am even more confused.
I have had the opposite experience. I’ve spent a lot of time in Europe and without fail the bidets I find myself using have a very weak stream, and they just look like a sink, and require extra cleanup to get all of the…particulate…down the drain.
On the 30 dollar unit I attached to my toilet, I get an extremely strong and focused stream, it is self-cleaning, and everything is handled by the same flush.
This is literally like the flying cars of cleaning your butt, and it’s not even new technology. There is literally zero downside.
By the way, PSA for anyone like me who has been saying gratin wrong for a long time, the proper pronunciation is gra-TAN (rhymes with Dan) or gra-TAAN (rhymes with Don). I said GRA-tin (rhymes with rotten) for 40 years on this earth.
Or at least, now someone who properly knows the exact right way to say it can reply to this and correct me.
I am thunderstruck, honestly. Do you mind sharing what you prefer about it?
It’s good old-fashioned xenophobia and is by no means unique to Americans or English-speakers even in the modern era. Anyone who has spent enough time in certain parts of France, Italy, or Belgium has probably encountered it at some point.
It’s everywhere but it is probably most prevalent in countries with a strong nationalist core and, in my opinion, ironically occurs most often in countries that have really fucked around with having an empire in the last century or so.
