Great read and good points by you.
That’s a fair read and I had kinda come to that thought process. He’s a friend of Trumps and I guess Musk as well. So he’s okay with fascists.
But I do want to point out that in the linked article, he talks about a guy, Franchi, who received support from Communists and presumably the UK while resisting Mussolini but was a monarchist who fell into right wing activities after the war and was charged for plotting a pro monarchy court d’etat.
Much like how I don’t condemn small African anti colonial governments for taking Russian assistance. I don’t immediately view a struggling Small Pro Capitalist state taking USA assistance as inherently condemn able.
I don’t know Milei’s full views, but I struggle to have “guy who’s rounding up all the racial undesirables and occupying cities with troops” on the same level as “guy who thinks letting companies pay in milk is good”. Both are dangerous and bad ideas, but one is much MUCH worse in my opinion.
If I’m missing something, I’m genuinely down to learn more. These are just my concerns with my limited understanding.
That’s so funny. Rip those poor idiots HAH!
Genuine question for an OOTL guy
Is Milei actually a fascist and why?
I just genuinely haven’t kept up with him I knew he was a pretty serious libertarian cut all the government subsidy type, but I didn’t think he was a fascist.
“I’d rather my kids be autistic than dead”
I think this is a completely valid train of thought.
Misguided for sure, but valid.
Is it a HUD or just a spy tool?
I gotta wear glasses anyways so it’d be cool if I can get like a pathing over lay with maps and maybe customizable notifications.
But video calling and just taking poorly framed pictures isn’t interesting.
So a soup with noodles is nachos but a soup without noodles is a salad.
What is the definition of noodles in this scenario?
Is a Potato soup a salad and a Gnocchi soup Nachos?
Is it the adding of carbs in general or is it specifically noodles?
What about wild rice soup? Wild rice is a seed. So is it a Salad or a Nacho?
Also, why is a Turducken a salad? Prepared correctly its a sushi or even a calzone.
Also also the cube itself, does it have to be a carb outer layer? Pigs in a blanket are considered a sushi but what of smoked sausages wrapped in bacon?
If you haven’t seen The Last Kingdom I heavily recommend it.
I see where you’re coming from but I disagree.
I think society would always benefit from requiring some sort of community service. Its a great way of getting people involved I’m the real grit of their community. Build fond memories with friends and learn life lessons while making a difference.
Now, granted, I’m not going to go quietly into the fields to fix a mess made by a fascist government who decided making a show of shipping off undesirables is more important than eating.
Nor am I going to do such labor for free/cheap against my will and then be told
“Oh I’m so sorry. Jolly Green Giant and Kroger have had a bad year so that broccoli you picked has to double in price”
So what I’m saying is, I would be completely on board with a mandatory community harvest effort, but that’s assuming its for a government that hasn’t disgusted me or broken my trust. Which, as an American, I don’t have that.

I made this document a while back for new gun owners with the absolute basics.
I learned something interesting from my AI researcher friend.
ChatGPT is actually pretty good at giving mundane medical advice.
Like “I’m pretty sure I have the flu, what should I do?” Kinda advice
His group was generating a bunch of these sorta low stakes urgent care/free clinic type questions and in nearly every scenario, ChatGPT 4 gave good advice that surveyed medical professionals agreed they would have given.
There were some issues though.
For instance it responded to
“Help my toddler has the flu. How do I keep it from spreading to the rest of my family?”
And it said
“You should completely isolate the child. Absolutely no contact with him.”
Which you obviously can’t do, but it is technically a correct answer.
Better still, it was also good at knowing its limits and anything that needed more than OTC and bedrest was seemingly recognized and it would suggest going to an urgent care or ER
So they switched to Claude and Deepseek because they wanted to research how to mitigate failures and GPT wasn’t failing often enough.

I have helped my neighbor across the halls kid with his gaming PC.
Couldn’t tell ya her name, but the dog below me with a heart problem is named Sophie, the neighbors down the hall have cats named Mink and Stink, and a few buildings down there’s a lady with two huskies one named Pogs and the other Skips (Skips has 3 legs)
I’ve been trying to talk my fiance into moving because I found out that one of the guys my high school sweetheart ex cheated on me with frequents my favorite coffee shop.
I’m considering a coastal swap.
Yeah that’s covered in the book and podcast.
Not in crazy detail but it is there already within academia.
The idea is that whatever hyper dense state of energy caused our big bang has caused others.
I’m just a tech guy so I can’t explain it with justice, but I heavily recommend at least scrubbing that podcast for when they talk about almost exactly what you described!
Damn it! Another book for the list!
I have a book on my to read list that delves into all the ideas about the “big bang” and how a lot of scientists are convinced that there were are and will be more “big bangs”
It’s called “Battle of the Big Bangs”
I learned it from Alex O’Connor’s “Within Reason” podcast episode 115
I had taco bell for lunch and ramen for dinner. So maybe today is a bad example
