This is my favorite way to deal with management.
So you want me to disable a safety feature to help speed up production?

I leeched when I was on limited bandwidth now I am the sole peer for about a dozen hard to find torrents. Balance in all things.
It was spelled out more clearly in the comics. They even trained human minds to do tasks that the machines could not/did not want to do.
36, Canadian, 10/10 would recommend. Winter driving is way more fun with manual, and it can be a lot easier on gas if you’re in the mood.
Metal and ceramic on the bottom, glass and plastic on top, bowls overlap no more than 50%, spoons and forks all curve in the same direction. Run it on express wash with no heat, remove to the drying rack when done.
The only encrypted file I have is my kdbx.
Dude I even have graphs that show when it ices up and stops working. No one will listen.
This is the way.

E-Mail/sms/irc covers 99% of my text needs.
Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Twitter, TikTok. Most people I work with think I’m totally out of touch with reality because I don’t use any of the big social media platforms and then they watch the same 12 ads and 3 videos on 5 different apps.

Oh god, that’s a rabbit hole you might not want to go down. I’m in Canada and I know people who will have 1 or 2 beers a week but most are in the range 2-4 a day. I’m an electrician so things skew towards the 1500 bottles/yr end of the spectrum.
Canada is right behind the USA in this respect. Our politicians are transparently corrupt, our health care is only good when compared to the US and we have an assbackwards vocal right who would vote Trump if only they were given the chance.
Whenever humans aglomerate, non productive humans require handouts to live. If they do not receive then they die. If they don’t want to die, they will steal.
Yeah, we know, politicians.
I am quite preachy about it and am universally met with “but why does it matter?” The future is gonna suck.
I’ve found my people!
Docker is awesome for real production environments but trains home users to just copy/paste/enter random shit from the internet.
I bet you’re the type to follow the docker install instructions*, arent you?
Thank you, I think the Cult of Docker does more harm than good for the selfhosting community in the long run as it encourages copy/paste admins. Manually installing services in LXC gives you all the advantages of Docker plus the full control of a VM or bare metal install.
So I guess “blatant” is the type.
