Springboot is very confusing. The inheritance tree is insane, they created a class for everything, which I get… But it is so hard to understand the whole scope their design.

You wouldn’t download a girlfriend.
… wait, yes, yes you would.
Looks like something that checks that the rows in a grid att up to 15. Why? IDK, a game?
Honestly, I don’t like the Go way. If they are going to have that philosophy, at least they should have provided a strong core with high level functions and generics. From the start. Not 5 years later.
I mean, it’s awesome until it isn’t.
NPM is already on the “isn’t” side of it. Specially with all the malware going around. Who has time to read the code of the dependencies of the dependencies of their dependencies? For every single version. It’s just not possible…
I guess the main concern with this is security. You’re literally running code you don’t even know about on your machine, probably next to personal files or your company’s code base.
A simple http call to publish all your private code wouldn’t be hard to sneak in a 6th level dependency.
1 socialization per week.
Going out somewhere or having friends over. More than that is just too much for my energy levels.
During weekdays everyone is stressed and tired. During weekends I need some time to rest, preparing myself for next week.
Hide the item under your clothes.
They also didn’t say how big your clothes can be
It really depends on the quality of the pineapple to me. Sometimes it is dry and it sucks. Sometimes it is kinda melted, which gives a sweet to the pizza without making the texture weird.
I do love Linux. You got me there.
If a human is part of nature… Isn’t being killed by a human a natural death?
No, there are some infinities bigger than other infinities. I know it sounds dumb, but this has been mathematically demonstrated. All infinities aren’t the same size, basically.
The set of rational numbers is larger than the set of integer numbers, even though they are both infinite.
What the person you replied is trying to say is that the intinite amount of universes that exist is infinitely larger that the infinite amount of universes in which you exist.
Personally, I think we can’t mathematically understand if the multiverse is a countable or uncountable infinite… Maybe we can? I don’t know.
Damn, this guy Haskells.
Do you get a heart attack every time you need to write to a database, effectively causing a side-effect? Only real Haskell developers do.
Why do you care what other instances think about it? I’m honestly asking and expecting an answer here. This isn’t a sassy question.
You built a wall and now you’re asking people outside of that wall what it feels for you to leave. Well, I’d care if I could see what’s inside the wall, but I can’t. I tried subscribing and it was impossible.
So why do you care what people outside of your wall think? Again, I expect an answer here.
ok
I left Lemmy for like 6 months because I got tired of the echo chamber. I’m usually inclined to the left but this was just too much and too extreme. There were some pretty interesting topics that I learned here, like how badly designed society is and why cars are an artificial need. Those “intellectual” discussions (if you could call them that) kept me engaged, but even those spaces were ruined by people totally closed to the idea of a middle-ground.
It’s strange how Mastodon is so willingly letting them in. Fishy… Fishy and hairy. Like a fish with some nice bangs. Maybe a mullet. A little mustache too, recently brushed with a little mustache brush.
Add a hard captcha in order to allow posting on specific communities that would be targets for bots, like c/memes. Like a very fucked up captcha.
That’s going to leave a mark
For large companies that serve many customers 5K per year is a drop in a bucket. If it provides their customers with a more secure experience, it is worth it.
