Are you the cousin that my mother foretold about?

Interesting.
Let me rephrase: I always believed it had good writing, but lacked interesting enough scifi concepts for me. In my opinion good writing trumps all, but having a interesting hook always makes writing more accessible.
I had already seen the same save the world and interspecies stuff by the time I was concious enough to play mass effect. (I am not that young, but I think mass effect came out in 2007.)
Curious to know why.
Mass effect for me feels like it’s generic scifi, so I can’t get into it and appreciate the writing but KOTR has a star wars flair at least.
I like it, but if there was some back and forth between them, it would feel more real?
Padme backs off after first unknowingly coming on to him (he’s a handsome badass), but then anakin pushes back citing the Jedi code. And when feels the push towards padme, she backs off because - jedi and younger. Basically the same as what you said, but they both want to do it, and they both know it’s wrong on some level.
The palpable tension going back and forth would make it more interesting.
And making him a little older - 21 or something would also make it less creepy yet maintain his naivity.
But I suppose it would be less spicy, if the relationship isn’t lopsided. I guess then it would depend on the direction one would want to take.
Do you want it to be a tale of a young boy being semi-groomed or an equal relationship.
I mean you could already consider padme being disingenuous by wearing such clothes and being “oblivious” to how anakin feels. Maybe she did know and wanted to push him on but without it feeling like she was responsible for any of it.
Is that “minimum”?
I agree, I use Duolingo because it’s good at making me comeback to learn. But I use it for vocabulary as I feel it is best for that. It was never very good at teaching grammar.
But I don’t know why it is not good at teaching grammar. I don’t think it’s that difficult to replicate textbook exercises in a fun way. All I can think why they don’t have good grammar exercises is that it’s some dark pattern I don’t recognise.
I thought Duolingo was terrible for grammar.
This is very inefficient, they should be using a switch case.
I like talking to interesting people.
I guess so do I.
Hard. I’m at that age where friends and family start dropping like flies and all I can do is watch knowing I’m next.
I don’t want to be insensitive, but are people really dying so fast these days? That sucks.
Not really. I used it a few times when it was new not much after that.
I don’t have an ID, but I’ve found that it can be a graceful teacher at times, explaining things in different ways and a lot more patient. Maybe it might be useful to you as well when you have difficulty understanding something.
Thanks for taking time to answer my questions. You should stick around (if this isn’t a fake account). Lemmy is very nice and accepting of people from all across. Most people believe in FOSS and helping others.
I am very curious to know about how you found out about lemmy and why you use it. And why did you want to do an AMA.
Also how has life been? How are you doing?
Has AI been any help?
You seem to have worked as an exotic dancer. How’s retirement like?
I think they’re laughing about how it can be misunderstood as the online meme Sigma.
There was definite political will behind those operations and at least tacit support from the western powers at the time. (But only for those nazis which they felt weren’t useful to them).
I don’t really see the same being possible with any country in the future. If there was any political will to do so, they already would have put pressure on them. And as far as I can tell, there’s very little actual pressure on them.
So this isn’t happening, unless the Palestinians are able to form a government of their own and get support from a major superpower with which their interests align.
Don’t you know it’s anti-semtic to call out Israelis justifying horrific acts because they can?
The world is tough out there cousin brother.
I send hugs and vibes.
