The two short stories that have really stuck with me are the Ray Bradbury one about the automated home and the Edgar Alan Poe one about the beating heart

“The Veldt” and “The Tell-Tale Heart”? Those two stick with me due to two good readings of it.

CEOs of companies existed in 1939, and did before. 1939 would have been the time of the great depression, World War 2, fascism, and Batman didn’t go after them, he went after the people who needed work and took the last chance they had.

Bruce Wayne is just a form of Bill Gates. Donates millions to charity, good causes, hospitals, fighting diseases, but he still has lots of more money than when he did before all this “charity”. The difference is that Gates doesn’t put on a mask and go punch the poor of Seattle.

If Batman was real, he’d be a dickhead, worse than Musk or Bezos.

South Park would probably be on the side of Google and other corporations, Matt and Trey are diehard libertarian capitalists.

Large scale wise, Doctors without Borders, World Health Organization, and the organizations that help fight for/track sex trafficked people to liberate them.

And within the US (I’m sure there’s others, I’m a yank so my understanding of how things in Germany/Canada/China/South Africa go is often poor) there’s the Electric Frontier Foundation, Meals on Wheels, Planned Parenthood, American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and a lot more that help most citizens and biological beings get the right to, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that isn’t actually given by any government.

Also Child’s Play and Make a Wish Foundation are pretty good for sick children to get some levity in a harsh childhood. I usually chip in some online donations/sale credits to Child’s Play and EFF so that they have entertainment when stuck in a hospital, and more digital rights for when they get out of it.

That is impressive! Sometimes you need a right figure to improve messaging.

TL;DR: The Satanic Temple sues you for telling publicly known truths about itself, and then takes money that could go to actual help for abortion rights.

The d4’s where the numbers are in a cluster are too hard to read. I’ve had to swap them in most games because most players need to second guess any rolls with them.

I’m sure people prefer them in some groups and power to them, but I detest them and if a dice set doesn’t have the other default, I don’t buy em.

It does and I agree, but maybe its since I just woke up and I’m short on sleep, I read:

RFID is silly to put in a card that 99% will forget about and leave behind. QR codes are better as they are just the same ink that goes on it anyways.

QR codes require something electronic to read them.

Business cards with plain text and maybe an image require as much tech to put on them as a QR code, a printing press of some kind. Making a nice looking card or generating a QR code requires more tech however.

I mean, one is lyrics for a fictional killer, the other is real life spouse abuse. I don’t know about you, but real life events are worse than written words.

John physically abusing his family is way worse than lyrics of an intentionally creepy song.

I like the Beatles, and there’s the obvious clique joke of “John beats his wives, ya know?”

I like a grand total of one Megadeath song, “Hanger 18”. That bad is very troublesome. I feel bad for enjoying it, but I don’t pay for it, so I guess that’s better? But it’s nostalgic for me, and I like the words “Military intelligence, two words combined that can’t make sense.”

I’d have to go through each bands’ wikipedia page, but I think some of the worst things are;

• Disagreed on who wrote what, leading to members leaving or the band breaking up

• Disagreed on who owns the name, leading to court battles and the band splitting in two

• Important members leaving, and while the band is still fun to listen to both new and old songs, its not the same

And of course the dreaded sin of “Why does no one know who I am talking about, they need more fans.” but that’s not really a thing of their own.
