well duh. You can test this yourself and even ALLOW the agent to access the internet. if you asks it to build something let it pick it’s own language. 9 times out of 10 it’s going to pick a language that tech bros and tech blogs have been raving about on linkedin and other sites. AND then it generally wont’ utilize the latest API or update to said language if no one has written about said latest API/update. months ago I tried this as a test. Claude selected Smithy and Rust I believe (can’t remember exactly) but the problem was it was utilizing an out of date Smithy version to try and get it to work with an up to date Rust version even though the latest Smithy was available it refused to utilize it. Why? well no one wrote about Smithy. So it would use the version it could find blog posts and articles written about it.

Now if you take internet access away from the agent, it’s not going to know what to use.

probably a bad example but I used to be a fan of Leo Laporte. the guy taught me pretty much everything I know about computers and what have you. really? I always assumed that was the norm for schools. I went to the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada and every year it was a massive thing getting internships and paid gigs with these places. It’s such an important thing we had an entire building on campus dedicated purely to it. for CS majors it was required for graduation.

if you’re not landing internships via your college then you’re attending a shit college. my old school has Google, Meta, OpenAI, Apple, Microsoft, etc setting up mini conventions on an annual basis hoping to snipe some UofW fresh grad to exploit.

If this is a story that deviates from the games or takes place during the period of one or two of them…man that’s a risky move. And releasing a trailer that doesn’t have any recognizable elements from ANY of the games? again, risky.

as a comic book fan I just hate when they make films based on books or heroes that don’t even get the time of day on the pages they’re based off. like the Eternals, or Iron Heart, etc. There were a couple of exceptions like Guardians of the Galaxy and maybe Shang-Chi but even then it’s like “Why do I want to go see a movie about Shang-Chi when I can’t recall the last comic book I read that he was in”

DC has the issue of over saturation of its characters and its properties PLUS reboots. Like you said it’s been done to death with their shows. Gotham characters are a prime example of this. How many shows/movies/crap do I need to see of Batman characters without Batman or even the slightest mention of batman in them? The Gotham TV show, Joker, Clayface, etc, etc, etc Or lets do ANOTHER series of films about Batman from a different perspective and/or timeline. Or Superman. How many god damn versions of Superman are you going to tell? On this show Superman has kids, on this show he’s teaming up with Flash and Green Arrow, on this show he’s not superman yet but wink wink nudge nudge he’s superman. Lets reboot Suicide Squad but keep like one character from the previous version and recast everyone else and really confuse people. AND THEN when it inevitably all shits the bed lets reboot the DCU YET AGAIN!

That being said as far as quality goes Claude has taken a very noticeable decline in quality within the past several months. used to be half decent but now 8 to 9 times out of 10 you’re going to get an hallucination for a solution. meanwhile I update NixOS like once a month and it always seems some maintainer has pushed a broken dependency for something and thus borks my entire rebuild. Last month it was some dependency for Krita, This month it’s some dependency for Lutris.

I need to get off NixOS. while it makes doing hard things easy, it’s infuriating when the easy things break and break often. But It’s like some abusive relationship, I want to leave NixOS but i’m so god damn addicted/in love with it and I always end up going back.

I’m one of those guys who in my teens I just didn’t get Tool or A Perfect Circle. I didn’t understand why everyone loved them. But now in my 40s I get it. I love all of Maynards stuff now. Tool, Pusicifer, A Perfect Circle.
