“The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.”
I agree 100%. I enjoyed it and made sense to me. Wasn’t as bad as people make it out to be.
There are dozens of us! I hate dry or crunchy cereal. Soggy cereal is best cereal
Then you didn’t watch Eragon. Lucky
Interesting! Thanks for the recommendation. Sounds pretty co. I’ll definitely check it out
Are you a more eloquent me? This is exactly what I feel about both Battle Royales and MOBAs. How and why? I just don’t see it. I have friends who enjoy both genres and I’ve talked to them many times and asked them to explain why they find it fun. I still don’t get it. Dark psychology indeed. That’s the only thing that explains it for me.
Oh man, I thought I was the only one. I’ve tried to get into it so many times, but I can never enjoy it. I enjoy Minecraft, though.
In other unpopular news, I hate DOTA also. Friends tried to get me into it so many times, and I played a bunch of matches, but found it super overwhelming with all the different heroes and choices and found the entire gameplay boring.
Yes, I’m excited too!
Yes! I thought it was just me. It’s crazy, I’ve missed so many reminders after moving over to Tasks
As someone with fear of flying, I really need to look into this.
Ah man I feel you. As I grow older, I notice that I’m more drawn towards linear games rather than open world for this exact reason
Is it subscription based? Or a one time payment to unlock pro?
Same here, and I agree with you. I think this whole reddit fiasco will cause enough migration to sustain Lemmy and lead to organic growth over time. And I think this is best for Lemmy in the long term.
Same, I am going through the same exact feeling as you are. I had similar existential thoughts on how everything is temporary and fleeting, websites and life… (please don’t judge haha, I really had these thoughts)
In a way, Lemmy is exciting and I’ve got used to it very quickly. It feels like the reddit of old and is surprisingly comfy. However, reddit was a part of some of the best years of my life and helped me become what I’m today personally and professionally. There is a wealth of information on reddit and I hope that doesn’t go away.
I will really really miss using reddit, and it will hurt in the short term, but I believe it will be a good thing eventually, especially if the Fediverse replaces it (at least to some extent). Hopefully then we can avoid this happening again and end this cycle.
Yes, please!
Wow, lifetime subscriptions, really? As in pay once and use forever? That sounds too good to be true. Any recommendations?
Probably showing my age with this, but Prince of Persia: Warrior Within
Very well said
