Yes like companies who have thousands of repos with master as the main branch. It really wouldn’t make sense to switch halfway and be working on different repos with different primary branches.
Not the biggest hurdle to overcome but also… Why should you have to?

If you edit files a lot vim is worth its weight in gold. Nano makes me want to kill myself as everything takes so much longer.
Nano is perfectly sufficient for a very rare edit.
It’s funny- I use dokuwiki but my only gripe is I wish it was just standard markdown.
That’s assuming mastodon even wants that and I honestly very much doubt it does.
It’s not a Twitter clone- it’s its own social media take.
There needs to be a “MigrationPub” spec to export your info to be ready to import into another user login.
