Im at the compose2nix phase of this pipeline. Ive got a bunch or sevices in Docker compose files and all of my systems have been running Nix for over a year now. Ive gotten the hang of my repo and made a couple modules for my specific uses and im hooked.

What would you suggest to migrate all my compose files into a nix friendly environment? I use flakes as well.

Most people don’t know but you can get the best of both. You can push for what called “community care” through the VA. If the VA admits there isnt a VA doctor close enough to you, they will send you to a private doctor of your choosing and pay for the whole thing.

I was able to get back surgery by the best doctor in the region this way. I refused to work with the VA doctor due to a bad appointment. I waited weeks to see this doctor and he spent 5 minutes looking at my chart to say I was too young to be helped. Could’ve just told me over the phone. Went back to my primary and complained and they signed me up for community care since they were the only other in the area.

It’s really not that hard to use a local account. When it askes for a Microsoft account just hit SHIFT+F10 then type in the command “oobe\bypassnro” and the pc will reboot. Now just don’t let the computer connect to internet, and when it askes for internet hit “I don’t have an internet connection” and then it will let you continue with a local account.

I recall it being fully simulated. You had to walk into a class room and sit down and watch a like 45min (maybe? Idk this was over a decade ago) presentation on an overhead where an instructor went over a combat life saver course. You’d have a test to answer with multiple choice questions that you had to pass at the end lol

Nawww it was way harder than that!! If you wanted to play as the medic class in a game online you had to do the offline training. The training made you sit through like a 45 minute long combat life saver class. No shit had to like walk into the classroom and sit near the projector and look down to answer questions lol

If you wanted to do the Special Forces maps (basically night mode maps) you had to pass this skull dragging class where you had to avoid being spotted and slowly move into an area. I remember trying for like 3 days just to pass that friggin class!

I can create tools for my company that launches right out of ConfigMgr Software Center and other technicians can contribute without needing a programming background.

Now this is a bit of magic I would like to learn. I read through PowerShell in a month of lunches a couple of years ago and it’s saved my butt a couple of times. I’m due for a re-read though. Would you have a source on where I could go to learn more about creating GUI applications in PowerShell?
