I did for a few years, but it’s been 15 years since this all happened, and I’m sure they have been lost in the shuffle.

I had the same issues with my first wife. At one point when we were separated she attacked me in public and tried to steal my keys so she could take my car, while I was holding my kid. I had scratches all down the arm that wasn’t holding my child, and I ended up retreating into a store, where she continued to attack me. When the cops showed up I was immediately cuffed, and she was treated as a victim, despite onlookers and even her telling them that she had attacked me. I would have definitely gotten booked except that a female officer was called to talk to her, realized what was going on, and made the male cops uncuff me and arrest her instead.
At the hearing for a restraining order the judge literally laughed, and gave her partial custody of the kid with no restraining order for either of us, and the local DA let her off with anger management courses and nothing on her permanent record.
To be fair, in Florida at least it referred primarily to the whips used to drive cattle, not anything slavery related.
Most of the jobs were short term, I’d guess they did find out, or the performance was subpar and they fired him at the end of his probationary period.
The recruiter is who I want to yell at. Her whole job is to find real candidates, and I was able to figure out in 5 minutes that something was off about the guy just from comparing LinkedIn and his resume, and then doing a quick Google search with his name + employers.
Unless you get caught. We were supposed to interview someone the other day, so I googled him, and found out that his resume and LinkedIn job histories don’t match. That lead me down a rabbit hole where I found out he is working multiple full time jobs simultaneously while most likely farming the work offshore, and his job titles were completely wrong inaccurate on both LinkedIn and how resume. Also the references he listed appear to be himself, as their job history is also not real.
Not only did his interview get cancelled, he’s marked as non-hireable in the future.
They also changed their philosophy so fewer and worse DLC, at least for CK. It does not appear that CK3 will ever have feature parity with CK2.
It feels like every Paradox sequel is worse than the previous game lately. CK3 is garbage compared to CK2 for instance, even after years of DLC.
I’ve bought sub $500 laptops several times in the last 6 years or so, and they were all great. Lenovo puts (or at least used to put) out Ideapads with Ryzen processors that are crazy cheap, and fairly upgradable.
Honestly Baldurs Gate 3 is what really makes it look bad. Playing Starfield after playing that highlights all of the shallowness in Starfield.
I have it. It makes eating at Chipotle impossible.
Lol, it’s from a comedy, it was never meant to be serious.
Half your age + 7 is literally from a comedy movie. It’s not a hard and fast rule.
Definitely not standardized. Some brands aren’t even consistent between different items they make.
I’ve had my Shark Navigator Pro for over a decade, the thing is a tank. If it died tomorrow I would instantly buy another one.
I just my kid a 2TB ssd for $60. 1TB can be found under $30 lately.
It’s possible, but by the time you get to the supervisor, it’s time to cut the shit.
Sam’s Club. We cancelled our membership and they still charged us. I called the main customer service number and told them to reverse the charge, or I would reverse it for them. They got all pissy and claimed they could only speak to my wife, who wasn’t available, despite the fact that my card was the one charged. Then they started getting insulting, and claimed my bank wouldn’t reverse the charge. I ask to speak to someone higher up, and politely explain the situation again, complete with my cancellation email, and the supervisor is even ruder than the first person. I then called the local store, and thankfully the person there wasn’t an asshole. They pulled up the account, saw it was cancelled on the date I said, and quickly refunded the charge. I have no idea why Sam’s Club customer service is the way they are, but they can eat a bag of dicks.
I didn’t care for Andor, didn’t get past episode 1.
Regular clothing I could probably last decades, I still have clothes from 20 years ago that are perfectly fine. Shoes are my big issue, they wear out fast for me, even higher priced brands that are supposed to last.
