It was actually a lot better than I expected, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a number of (hopefully) obvious reasons.

Actually it’s more of a George Lucas is terrible at dialogue situation, the operative word in the sentence is “deals”.

He wasn’t saying “Only a Sith recognizes absolutes”, he was saying they only “deal” in them as in they refuse to compromise or recognize nuance. To a Sith anyone that isn’t currently aiding you is your enemy, if they aren’t your ally they are to be destroyed. It’s not that he was trying to say there are no absolutes, he’s saying that there are other options in this situation, and that by viewing Obi-Wan as an enemy because he opposes Palpatine he is “dealing in absolutes” as in he is making this a life-or-death situation when it doesn’t need to be.

It was never meant to be a philosophical statement, it’s just a very awkward way of saying “Anakin we can work this out and compromise, you and Sidious are only acting like this because of the Dark Side”. Unfortunately this bit of dialogue was written by the same person that thought “I’m haunted by the kiss that you should never have given me. My heart is beating…hoping that kiss will not become a scar” was romantic and thoughtful, instead of the type of thing an emo teenager would write in their diary.

If you want to see what George Lucas is capable of without someone there to fix his weird choices, go look up the “Adventures of Luke Starkiller, as taken from the Journal of the Whills, Saga I: The Star Wars” screenplay, the untouched version of Star Wars that he originally thought up, there are even comic book adaptations out there. If you are brave enough to read it, you will very quickly see that George needs someone else to proofread his work and ESPECIALLY his dialogue, because the entire thing is a mess and practically every other line out of someones mouth sounds like a grand philosophical statement because of the phrasing he uses to give it more gravitas.

TL;DR - George Lucas uses weird phrasing and should never be allowed to write dialogue.

A modern take on the (pre-NGE) Star Wars Galaxies style MMO, mainly the social aspects like player housing and player driven crafting system it had. We have still not seen such a deep crafting and resource system as SWG had in any game since.

While there are still private servers around in abundance, they are all too small to properly support the social aspects properly, and the dated engine really hold it back. A newer game engine and some modern QOL and UI changes is all you really need, and although the Star Wars IP would be great it would be fine with a lesser IP or fully unique setting.

There have been a few indie attempts at this but none have finished development, with the most recent one pivoting to AI and then going dark earlier this year, though to be fair indie MMO have a pretty bad track record for actually completing.

They were playing a game of Hedbanz / Headbands / Celebrity , and one of them had The Good Witch Glinda from Wizard of Oz as their character, and they are arguing about them not guessing it based on the clues.

What website are you on lmao? Reddit is constantly mentioned, nearly every instance is majority Reddit refugees, there are Reddit repost bots on multiple instances.

Also, more importantly, cowboys and ranching. At least back when I was a young’un out in the sticks it was commonplace to see someone wearing a cowboy hat, and rodeos were one of the major events for many small towns. In fact, one of (if not) the largest public events in Alberta is the Calgary Stampede, which is rooted in and still features many rodeo and cowboy type activities.

I guarantee some busybody middle manager would care, especially if they wanted to fire someone and were trying to find a reason.

I don’t see a unique core mechanic in that, there are lots of RTS / FPS hybrids, both single and multiplayer.

While I mostly keep watching the show out of some kind of morbid fascination, I’ve always believed that Rick literally is Morty in some way, or at least that was the originally intended big reveal.

It’s just too on brand for the shows sense of humor, and at least in the first season they were really into deconstructing or mocking a lot of classic Sci Fi tropes that while not that well known to the average viewer, any Sci Fi nerd would instantly recognize (in other words, Futurama but with dick jokes), and what fits better into that mold than the Grandfather Paradox?

When I have mentioned this, a few people have said that Rick “refuses to do time travel” or similar, but again what is more on brand for the show than for Rick to just go “Haha fuck you, I always knew how to time travel, but I don’t do it because reasons!” or some similar reversal. I mean they spent the first season loudly saying they weren’t a serialized story, while dropping breadcrumbs about a grand serialized story.

Apparently the recent anime crossover semi-confirms this theory, but I can’t be arsed to watch it, and I don’t think it is canon anyways (or if it is, it’s from dimension D-414 or something).
