Animism
This community is about the belief that spirit is in everything: trees, rocks, places. It is a space for discussing strategies for environmental activism from the perspective that all things have basic rights, from people to animals, to forests to rivers and mountains.
It is about seeking to find deeper gratitude in our lives by understanding that everything is just being what they intend to be.

I think it was a breath of fresh air to see something like this on Lemmy. I mean, I love tech but it’s not all that exists in the world. :)
My passion was tech for the overwhelming portion of my life. I taught myself Commodore BASIC on my VIC-20 in the early 80s. I had the C64 and 128 as well. Then I moved into my first 286 PC. I studied Computer Information Systems in college. I learned to program C++, C#, Javascript, and GO. My life and career have been steeped in technology. But now I am balancing things out a bit more. Tech alone eventually becomes stale. I want new things. Things that I really have to learn to think in new ways. I hungered for connection that I was not finding in digital spaces. I’m finding new things. And sharing them lol. In case anyone else is looking.
