    I mean IRL scientists are like “oops we found this fish that we thought was extinct and actually there’s a bunch of them still around.” Doesn’t seem farfetch’d that poke scientists would be similar.

      Yea but those same species aren’t then immediately and regularly encountered by children just outside city limits.

        Didn’t ScienceTM recently find a new stickbug? It would not surprise me that children find it first and not recognize that it is a new bug.

          It did, in a jungle. New things exist and many can technically be found by anyone but these Pokémonologists are literally missing shit that people own and that are in their own backyard attacking people.
