I’ll definitely be getting it, because I’d love more 2077 content. But as for “more cinematic”, that was one of the things that disappointed me about the main game was that it had such a specific story in mind. I mean overall it’s an enjoyable story, I was just hoping for a game that let you make up your own. I haven’t really played many crpgs (far more ttrpgs) so maybe that’s just not a thing? Or just less popular maybe? Idk lol. Still one of my favorite games ever.
So was I, once I finally figured out what expeditions actually were. lol But they do rerun them occasionally. I was able to do one or two of the old ones at some point.
This is my thinking as well. I am trying to be less hesitant with my commenting (and hopefully posting as well) than I was on reddit. I think a few bad experiences there caused me to become more reluctant. Hopefully the fewer users here will mean less likely to run into major jerks (at least for the time being)? lol
I just joined Lemmy yesterday myself! I imagine that it’s probably going to see a bit of a spike in growth over the next week or two. lol
Almost done with the latest expedition in No Man’s Sky. Next up is grinding up some (in-game) money for the new dlc in GTA Online next week. After that I want to see how much Ark: Survival Evolved I can get through before the next version, Ark: Survival Ascended comes out this summer. So many other games on hold though. I want to finish Jurassic World Evolution before I buy #2, and I haven’t even installed the Terminator game or my System Shock bundle yet. Or my Aliens games. Yikes. I could be spending 12 hours a day gaming and it’d be hard to catch up!
Idk, I liked it. Cheesy sure, but TM always was.
Not my favorite genre, but I do like Tekken, Dead or Alive, Soul Calibre, Virtua Fighter, Battle Arena Toshinden, Fighting Vipers, World Heroes. Mostly I am attracted to a game for cool characters and fighting styles more than the actual fighting, if that makes any sense. Oh, does Virtual On count? 😋
I loved Birth of the Federation, so I hope it’s like that.
Deus Ex is one of my all time favorites. Haven’t played SS yet but I have the Steam bundle for it, so I just have to pick a time to give it a try. (Lots of games competing for my time, including multiple instances and versions of DX lol.)
Deus Ex, Vampire: The Masquerade: Bloodlines, and Cyberpunk 2077. Like you said, they are games I like to get lost in, just walk/drive around in, soak in the ambience. I like to pretend I’m there; it’s a great escape, like you said, comforting.
Birth of the Federation worked pretty well I think. It was basically MOO but I thought that they made it work with the lore pretty well.
I’d add to put it simply, something can make you happy without it turning you on. Like other interests.
