I wonder if it’s a spectrum. I am probably the same as you, but I am surprised when others mentioned about their inner monologue being constant-- many of which are negative-- and how to “turn it off” when it becomes too toxic. I have never really gotten negative inner monologues.

Nonetheless, the post made me think that this may explain why I am pretty forgetful. I don’t speak to myself to remember something in inner monologue/first person.

Humans are not evolved to be sedentary. We need to be going out and about to be stimulated, not just physically but also mentally.

I don’t know about the comics, but there is real life result from having better education curtailing overpopulation. The Earth’s population as we speak is expected to plateau, as the rest of the developing countries are catching up economically and becoming better educated. I don’t see why the galactic population can’t be the same.

He could have snapped and make everyone to be smarter and learn about contraceptives and family planning.

What is kind of putting me off Lemmy is the amount of tankies. I understand they are actually far left from Reddit who migrated, but they’re just damn idiots and are simping for Putin (yes, I’m aware that some of them could be St Petersburg-based Russian trolls larping as tankies).

There are pros and consc to having either large or small communities. Having many traffics is good to generate discussions. But then on the other hand, you encounter more idiots as a result.

In pharmaceuticals, AI will not replace workers in manufacturing or laboratory. It’s even far more useful for drug discovery. There is a recent report of AI designing a new and effective antibiotic, in which the research and development for such drugs have basically stopped since the 1990s because bacterial antibiotic-resistance tend too evolve too quickly for antibiotic discovery to keep up.
