• I’m part of the mod team at !movies@piefed.social (formerly !movies@lemm.ee), and PieFed is what users ended up voting on as to which instance we should move to. At first I was hesitant to go to another platform, but I’ve gotten totally used to it by now. I’d say the best part of PieFed is flairs, they’re so much better for sorting out posts!
• I use Postimages for image hosting.

I ended up switching to a number of instances. The account I’m on right now is lemmy.today, which claims to be financially stable with good uptime. But my main account is on piefed.social.

I can’t say I’ve missed the old lemm.ee communities, although I do regret that all the images I uploaded were deleted, I thought they’d somehow be spared by the other instances. I use external image hosts now.

There’s planned downtime every night when we turn on the Roomba and it runs over the cord.
