Sometimes I love to buy the mobile version of a game, because I know my group would never play it, the setup is too much or it’s kind of expensive (Root, Gaia Project, Scythe).

But sometimes I play a game online and realize, playing it competitively online would ruin the fun, because it’s so great I want to experience it with my friends or family (Res Arcana, Sushi Go, King of Tokyo).

Have you experienced something similar?

Gloomhaven by far. I just wish there was a good way to convert my physical campaign I’ve already been playing over into the digital version.

Came here to say the same. The rules and upkeep is so finicky in the real version, and the digital just handles it. The digital version is still kinda janky, but miles better

Absolutely Gloomhaven. I have a wooden insert to organize the sheer amount of tokens and stuff which improves scenario setup time a lot but the digital version is still way more comfortable. No setup, rules enforced by the computer, no enemy management, no way to accidentally put a used event card in the wrong place, no need to physically reset when you restart the campaign…
