      Im sorry, darling, but he is first and foremost a fighter of crime… like any other super hero. And who fights crime? Cops. Superheroes are supercops.

      And lets not forget that he is a tool of american imperialism and american exceprionalism. Nothin’ woke 'bout that.

        The police use fighting crime as a pretext for the protection of capital and the oppression of minorities, their actual functions.

          I agree with that, but this pretext is the reality in superhero stories. Cops are portrayed as the good guys, and superheroes collaborate with them if anything.

          Cops and superheroes share this; They fight crime. And so if we imagine a child reading superhero comics, they will most likely think; I also want to fight crime! And who in our society fights crime? It’s the cops.

          Superheroes are a constructed reality to turn children into cops.
