Avatar director James Cameron has signaled that he may be ready to move on from the franchise, as the status of its two planned sequels still remains uncertain.

      He had planned as much as 7 total Avatar films.

      But I guess the deaths of his longtime collaborators James Horner and Jon Landau hit him hard, so he’s deciding to scale it back.
