I might go farther than that. I don’t think we’d be friends, but I’d love to watch my favourite movie with him (君の名は。 (your name.)) and hear his critique of it, and based on that, show me a movie that he values highly that he thinks I’d appreciate. Sort of like a cultural exchange of sorts (though, I am not Japanese). And of course I’d critique his pick. We wouldn’t have to agree. And, I would think most movie lovers would value his opinions over mine. That’s fine. But it would be cool to jam with a movie nerd over our favourite flicks.
