Do animated animal films ever bomb? They kinda feel like a cheat code.
Animated films are a 2-hour window for parents to not have to deal with their children.
Films are also often how kids form ideas about how the world works.
Parents can talk about how the world works, but films show them how it works (or teaches them lies if you’re not careful)
Think of the impact films like Star Trek, Jurassic Park, 101 Dalmations, and Surf Ninjas have had on our society.
And don’t even get me started on Shrek… Akch! What a load of flush [Somebody!]
That’s why my kids are only allowed to watch Paul Verhoeven films.
