Good. I love the alien movies and setting, but that movie was total bullshit. Virtually all of it is nostalgia bait, like when the android quotes Ripley ("get away from her you bitch) and the crappy ai Ash remake.
Even the not very beloved prequels were more original and interesting.
I liked the first half. Especially the idea of a quarantined lab in space divided in half. It wasn’t until the reintroduction of the android that it went off a cliff.
I think people got a little too hung up on the references. I mean, I get it, it breaks the immersion of it’s constantly referencing other movies you know.
But if you look at the movie on its own terms, it’s a really nice Alien movie.
